Bingo is played in Bingo halls everywhere. The rules and payouts will vary with what place you are at.
Players buy cards with numbers under the letters of the word Bingo. Random numbers will be drawn such as “B9” and if you have a match, you mark it on your card. Numbers are called out until someone completes a bingo pattern, which could be a line of 5 numbers in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row. This person will win the prize.
A bingo card has 24 number spaces and one free space. The numbers in the B column are 1 -15. The numbers in the I column are 16 – 30. There are only 4 numbers in the N column and they are 31 – 45. The numbers in the G column are between 45 and 60. Finally, the numbers in the O column are 61 – 75.
The numbers are called out by a person so you have to listen carefully so you do not miss a match.
Each different location will probably have a brochure stating the different games, rules, and payouts. There are many different patterns you can win off of bingo depending on the location you are at. Some locations offer very high payouts.
